GENERAL CONDITIONS OF BICYCLE RENTAL

1. Definitions
For the purposes of these General Conditions, the following terms shall have the meaning indicated:

COPOS: COPOS SL, owner of the rental equipment and responsible for its rental.
CLIENT: Person renting a bicycle and/or accessories from COPOS.
Material: Bicycles of any range, helmets, trailers, child seats, and other accessories.
Contract: Agreement between the CLIENT and COPOS for the rental of the equipment.

2. General Contract Conditions

The CLIENT declares having received and accepted these conditions before formalizing the rental, available at www.coposbike.com and at COPOS establishments.
The rental must be paid in full at the time of booking.
The rental is personal and non-transferable.
In case of multi-day rentals, no refunds will be issued except in the event of an injury duly justified by a medical certificate.
To formalize the rental, the CLIENT must present an identification document and a valid bank card or, failing that, leave a deposit equivalent to the value of the rented equipment.

3. Use of Equipment and Liability

The CLIENT acknowledges that cycling entails inherent risks and declares to be in suitable physical and technical condition.
The CLIENT exempts COPOS and its employees from any liability for personal, material, or third-party damages arising from the use of the equipment.
The equipment must be used exclusively for cycling activities, avoiding negligent, aggressive, or inappropriate use.
The equipment is delivered in perfect condition and must be returned in the same condition.
The CLIENT is responsible for its care and proper use. Altering, dismantling, or modifying any component of the rented equipment is not permitted.
The CLIENT shall be liable for any damage, loss, theft, or misuse.
Failure to return the equipment shall be considered theft, subject to legal prosecution.

Cost assessment (excluding normal wear and tear):

Flat tire: cost of inner tube + mechanic labor.
Partial damage: spare parts + mechanic labor hours.
Loss, theft, or total damage:
- €400: Children’s bicycle
- €700: Mid-range bicycle / Child trailer
- €2800: High-end bicycle (Enduro)
- €5000: Electric bicycle

4. Schedules, Changes and Returns

Rental may be contracted for half a day (4 hours) or a full day, always within established business hours.
Bicycles must be returned before 19:00.
Delays will incur a surcharge equivalent to the price of a full-day rental.
Rental extensions or bike changes are allowed subject to availability and payment of the difference.
Early return due to justified cause (injury with medical certificate, extreme weather) may entitle the CLIENT to a voucher for the same season.
Failure to use the equipment by CLIENT decision does not entitle to a refund.

5. Liability

The CLIENT acknowledges and accepts that the use of the equipment is voluntary and solely the result of their own decision.
Any damage caused to persons or property due to breach of these conditions will be the CLIENT’s responsibility.
The CLIENT releases COPOS from any liability arising from use and undertakes to indemnify against any third-party claims.

6. Insurance and Civil Liability

COPOS has general civil liability insurance as a service provider.
COPOS assumes no responsibility for injuries, accidents, or material damage suffered by the CLIENT during the use of the equipment, nor for damages arising from improper or reckless use.
It is recommended that the CLIENT have travel or personal accident insurance covering cycling and outdoor activities.

CANCELLATIONS

Do you have doubts? Don’t worry! You can cancel free of charge up to 3 days before the activity.
If you need to modify your booking, contact us and we will offer you the best available options.

✅ Bookings up to 5 people

❌ Cancellations more than 72 hours in advance: 100% refund.

⏳ Cancellations between 72 and 48 hours before: 50% refund.

⚠️ Cancellations less than 48 hours in advance: No refund (100% non-refundable).

🚫 No-show on the day of the activity: No refund will be issued.

✅ Bookings of 6 people or more (groups)

🔄 Date changes are not allowed once the booking is confirmed.

❌ Cancellations less than 30 days in advance: 75% of the amount will be charged.

❌ Cancellations less than 20 days in advance: 100% of the booking amount will be charged.

🌦️ What if it rains or the weather is bad?

Activities take place regardless of the weather (rain, snow...), except in extreme cases that affect safety, such as avalanche risk or severe weather conditions.

If the provider cancels for safety reasons, you will be offered a new date or a full refund of the amount paid.

🤒 What happens if you or a companion get sick?

If you or a companion become ill on the same day of the activity, you must present an official medical certificate.

With the certificate, we will reschedule the activity or provide the corresponding refund.

If you are part of a group, the refund will only apply to the affected person (and to the minor in their care if applicable). The rest of the group will be able to carry out the activity as planned.
