Tips before heading out snowshoeing
Before starting your snowshoe route in the Val d’Aran, it is important to keep a few basic recommendations in mind to enjoy the experience comfortably and safely. While the activity is easy, being well prepared makes a noticeable difference.
What to wear and bring
Proper clothing is essential for walking on snow. We recommend wearing warm, waterproof, and breathable clothing, preferably in layers, to adapt to temperature changes. Footwear should be suitable for snow, with a non-slip sole.
Do not forget to bring:
- Gloves and a warm hat
- Sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- A small backpack with water
- An energy snack
This equipment will help you stay comfortable during several hours of walking.
Minimum age and physical requirements
Snowshoe rental is available for children from shoe size 28 onwards, provided they can walk independently. No previous experience or specific fitness level is required, although it is recommended to be comfortable walking for at least one to two hours.
