A refuge with Pyrenean charm.
It is located in the Val d'Aran, just 7 km. from Baqueira Beret ski resort, in an area of the Catalan Pyrenees where the forests, the snowy peaks in winter and the freshness of green in the summer, are the true protagonists of the landscape that can be seen from this hotel.
The Hotel, of local style architecture, is located on the so-called House of Don Gaspar de Portolà, discoverer of California. The 16th century fortified tower and its adjoining chapel remain in this noble building. The Parador was inaugurated as a lodge in 1964, and in 1977 the main building was added.
It offers different types of rooms with beams lined with wood, numerous convention rooms among which the Fireplace Room stands out, and cozy rooms that invite you to spend the night in an ideal environment for the practice of activities in contact with nature.
The cuisine is influenced by the specialties of the area such as the Aranese pot, trout a la llosa, wild boar civet or pescajus de Artíes.
Facilities include an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a sauna and a gym.
The swimming pool is heated from December until Easter.
