What does the open kayak activity consist of?
It is a descent in an individual kayak along the river, always accompanied by a professional guide. Throughout the route, calm sections are combined for practice with areas of rapids where the most dynamic and technical part of the experience takes place.
Are there different difficulty levels?
Yes. Depending on the selected activity and the river flow (spring or summer), the difficulty can range from intermediate to difficult.
For children from 8–10 years old, there is the kayak immersion option, an easy level ideal as a first introduction.
What is the minimum age?
It depends on the selected activity and the river flow. In general, it can range from 10–12 years old up to 16 for the more demanding options.
How long does the activity last?
The duration varies depending on the selected option. You can check the approximate duration in the “details” section within each activity on the website
Is it mandatory to know how to swim?
Yes, it is essential to know how to swim to participate in the activity.
Is previous experience required?
No, it is not necessary. Before starting, the guide explains the techniques needed to carry out the activity safely.
Do I need to be in good physical condition?
A high level is not required, but you should have an active attitude and a basic level of fitness
Is it a safe activity?
Yes. It is carried out with certified guides, approved equipment and under controlled conditions. As with any activity in a natural environment, there is an element of risk, but risks are minimized by following the guide’s instructions.
Will I feel cold?
The water is cold, but the wetsuit protects you and during the activity your body quickly warms up.
What do I need to bring?
Swimsuit or bikini, towel, sunscreen, closed footwear that can get wet, a strap to secure your glasses if you wear them, and a lycra or thermal T-shirt (not essential). The rest of the technical equipment (wetsuit, helmet, life jacket, paddle, kayak…) is included.
Can I wear glasses or contact lenses?
Yes, but it is important that glasses are well secured with a strap. Contact lenses are also a good option.
Are there changing rooms or showers?
The base has changing rooms to get changed before and/or after the activity, but there are no showers.
Can I bring my phone or record the activity?
Bringing your phone is not allowed, as it may be lost or damaged by water. If you want to record, some helmets have mounts for GoPro or similar cameras; just ask for it when the equipment is provided.
Where can I leave my belongings?
At the base you will have lockers to leave your personal belongings. We recommend not bringing valuables and, if you do, leaving them in your vehicle.
Is transport included?
Yes, the activity includes transport from the base to the starting point and the return at the end of the route.
Is the activity cancelled in case of bad weather?
No. The activity takes place even if it rains, as you will get wet anyway. It is only modified or cancelled if the conditions pose a safety risk.
Can I join alone or do I need a group?
You can book individually, but the activity requires a minimum number of participants to be confirmed. If the minimum is not reached, we will offer you an alternative.
Are there any medical restrictions?
It is not recommended for pregnant women or for people with heart conditions, injuries or medical conditions that may put their safety at risk. If in doubt, it is best to contact us before booking.
Can people with disabilities participate?
People with disabilities must be accompanied by their legal guardian and the activity will be subject to prior assessment by the technical team.
